Local Ministries

We are a big supporter of Abba’s House, a pro-life organization that provides help and support to pregnant women in our community.  We host an annual fundraising event in addition to other supportive solutions to make sure women in our community get the support they need.

Every summer, Cornerstone Community Church hosts a week-long event for children in our community to grow their faith and to nourish and strengthen their relationship with God through Jesus Christ.  This event is open to all children in our community ages 4 years old to entering 6th grade!

Global Ministries

Operation Christmas Child, a part of Samaritan’s Purse, is an ministry our church has participated in for many years now.  We collect toys, clothing, hygiene items, and school supplies throughout the year to fill Samaritan’s Purse shoeboxes, who then send them out to children around the world for Christmas.

We love and support Peter’s Orphan’s, a Christian ministry in rural Africa.  Peter houses, feeds, and teaches the gospel to orphans and we do we all we can to support his efforts.  Supplies and basic essentials such as clean water, food, and medical treatments are very hard to come by so we do what we can to support his mission.

Based out of Casper, WY, Vision Beyond Borders is a global mission front providing orphanages for war-torn countries, homes and shelters for women delivered out of sex trafficking, and bible deliveries for many peoples in different languages where God’s word is almost non-existent or banned.

Convoy of Hope is a wonderful organization that provides immediate, emergency assistance around the world in disaster-hit areas.  It is a Gospel centered charity organization with an outstanding history that we believe in fully.  With our “One Day to Feed the World” annual fundraising event in addition to regular financial support, our church continues to help this organization which blesses countless lives throughout the world.

Our Church Ministries

Our children’s ministry is for children from 6 weeks through 5th grade and available during the 9:45 and 11:15 am services downstairs.  Nursery is available for children 6 weeks to 3 years old. Alyssa McFarland coordinates the nursery and toddler rooms. Playtime, bible stories, songs, and sometimes a snack are all part of their Sunday morning time. Children’s Church is from 4 years old until 5th grade. Pastor Tyler Jordan and other volunteers lead the children’s church service downstairs.  Usually a puppet show begins the service and then the children move on to prayer time, songs, teaching from the Bible, and discussion and memory verse practice. The children’s ministry has an electronic check in system used for the staff to be able to text a parent if you are needed for your child during the service.

Youth Group meets on Tuesday evenings, during the school year, from 5:30-7:15 pm and is open to students in 6th-12th grade.  Dinner is provided and Matt Good leads a teaching and discussion time.  Special events occur throughout the year such as a trip to the corn maze in the fall, Christmas party, fun game nights, and other activities. If you would be interested in helping with any of the meals for the youth group please contact Michelle Straub at office@cccriverton.org. Check the church calendar for any upcoming events.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the centerpiece of our Men’s Ministry revolves around FOOD. We meet each month for a men’s breakfast and weekly Bible studies are held throughout the year as well.  There’s an annual retreat held in Dubois, WY that men from the church attend. Please check the Calendar for any upcoming events.

Cornerstone’s Women’s Ministry offers Bible Studies and fellowship time throughout the year.  Our Bible studies vary, but are usually DVD and study guide driven. We try to host at least one study between September and mid-December, then begin again the second week of January and run through to the end of May or Memorial Day.   Studies are hosted on Tuesday mornings with childcare available, if requested, and Wednesday evenings with a meal just before the study begins. During the summer months there is a break from the formal studies, but oftentimes smaller groups of women get together at someone’s home for a study, prayer, and fellowship.

Fellowship time throughout the year for the women of the church is available at our monthly Bunco Nights where we gather for food and a fun game of Bunco. We have also had special events in the past for craft days and retreats.
Please contact office@cccriverton.org if you would like more information about participating in our women’s ministry events.
The Caring Ministry of our church focuses on prayer requests and other needs that occur within our church body.  Whether it be by praying with those who need prayer or by providing meals for those who have had surgery, suffered the loss of a loved one, or welcomed a new baby, we do our very best to come alongside the people in our church to help when and where there is a need.
